Bride and groom arrive at the wedding reception
Following on from the previous article on Kathy & Ian’s wedding at St Leonard’s Horringer we went on to the reception at The Mill Hotel in Sudbury Suffolk.
The wedding reception was too far from the ceremony to use the horse and carriage; so Kathy and Ian went back to her mum’s in the horse and carriage before switching to their car.
After they arrived at The Mill Hotel we left the guests to photograph the bride and groom on their own. This is a great time for the bride and groom escaping the hustle and bustle of their wedding day for a while.
The Mill Hotel was originally a water mill and is on the banks of the river Stour. With open fields behind the hotel it makes wonderful scenery for the bride and groom portraits.
The sun peeped through the clouds for a few minutes before disappearing and the rain setting in. Hotel staff was very obliging when I asked to do the group photos on the stairs in the front foyer. I cleared the brochures off the window sill to remove any unwanted distractions.
