Recently I dug through my wedding photography archives to find a winter wedding.
This is the last wedding from my first season as a professional wedding photographer. Kate and Anthony got married at Fornham All Saints in November 2007. Their wedding reception was at the magnificent Athenaeum in Bury St Edmonds, which is perfect for a large number of wedding guests.
Our original plan was to pop over to the Abbey Gardens for some bride and groom portraits but the weather was against us. However it was possible to take some creative wedding photos indoors using off camera flashguns. They also saved the day for their group shots.
The wedding also marked a significant step in my development as a wedding photographer. Through encouragement from my SWPP mentor (Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers) and inspiration from world leading photographers, I started to develop my style. And a few of these images from this wedding led to achieving my licentiate with the SWPP.
Anyway, enjoy the images below.
