How Safe Are Your Wedding Photos?

Silver Award for Wedding Bridal Portraiture

Last week I was looking through a local wedding photographers’ website and was shocked when I saw how they handled your wedding photos.  This made me wonder how safe your wedding photos really are.

I was browsing through the Frequently Asked Questions, FAQ, section and came across their file handling strategy for your wedding photos.  It was shocking.  Due to the high number of images they take at each wedding, they only hold your images for three months!

Guess what happens to your precious wedding photos after three months.

Yes that’s right – they’re binned!

After three months your wedding photos are binned to make room for new wedding photos from other clients.  Can you imagine how devastating that must be if a friend or relative wants to buy a print from your wedding?

Of course this really puts the pressure on you to buy a large number of prints as you’re afraid of loosing your wedding photos.  You’ll even buy the ones you don’t like!

This is the kind of wedding photographer who prints your photos from a printer at home and presents you with a cheap wedding album.  At first you’re probably content with your album even though the prints are a bit fuzzy and mooted colours.  But worse is to come.  As when these prints fade in a few years time you won’t be able to request new ones because they’ve been deleted!

On the other hand you might not care by then as their wedding photography was the same poor quality as the prints, album and handling of your wedding photos.  But hey – he/she was cheap right?

Don’t regret your wedding photography

You’ll be pleased to know things are handled a little differently at PatB Wedding Photography.

It all starts with the friendly and very professional service that you receive from your very first meeting.  As a qualified professional photographer your wedding photography is both creative and of the quality you’d expect.

But that’s just the beginning.

All your wedding photos are stored on multiple hard drives as soon as I return home after your wedding.  Then your images are carefully edited selecting only the very best wedding photos for you to choose from – usually around 200.  These are then colour corrected, cropped and perhaps converted to Black & White.  Some fine art photos are expertly retouched in Photoshop.

The bride & groom share a special moment in the back of their Rolls Royce wedding car. Silver Award for Traditional Wedding Photography but taken in a modern way through a fisheye lens and retouched to create a vintage glamour cinematic style.

Your very best wedding photos are then prepared for your multimedia slide.  Shown on a projector, you’ll appreciate how amazing these will look as wall mounted pictures and in your wedding album.  Your selection will be tough.  But when it’s done you’ll be totally delighted.

You’ll buy with confidence.  You know you’ll be delighted with your purchases – or you’ll get your money back.

I’ll create an archive copy of all your edited wedding photos on to yet another hard drive.  These pictures are kept indefinitely.  When the hard disk is full it will replaced with a new disk.  And the old disk will be retained with your wedding photos.

Your wedding photos will also be stored on-line FREE for 12 months with Instant Memories. Your friends and family can view them and order their own prints.  Instant Memories have an agreement with my print processor, One Vision Imaging, so your friends and family will receive the same fantastic quality prints as you.  Prints that are printed on Fuji Professional DP paper using specialized digital printing machines.  Prints with archival qualities that are guaranteed not to fade for at least 35 years!  Prints that are renowned for their vivid colours and sharpness of fine details.

Multiple digital copies of your wedding photos will be retained for at least a year after your wedding in addition to your archived copy.

Doesn’t that give you peace of mind?

Peace of mind knowing that someone cares about you; your wedding photography, your wedding photos, and supplying you the finest products available on the market today.
