This morning I had a reconnaissance trip to Smeetham Hall Barns wedding venue in Essex, in preparation for my next wedding. Smeetham Hall Barns is ideally located on the Essex, Suffolk boarder near Bulmer, Sudbury.
As you can see from the pictures Smeetham Hall Barns is situated in picturesque gardens with a willow boarded lake in front of the main hall. The 16th Century converted barns make a fabulous venue for any wedding reception.
Behind the barn is a large 800 square foot marquee, which is perfect for wedding parties for up to 150 people. From a wedding photographer’s view point they’re also fantastic for wedding photography in inclement weather conditions.
