Real Wedding Photography from The Swan Lavenham Suffolk

The bride leaving home to go to her wedding ceremony at The Lavenham Swan Suffolk

by Pat Bloomfield on 07/03/2010

The Swan in Lavenham Suffolk was the wedding venue for Sacha & Matthew’s winter wedding.

This was actually my first professional wedding back in February 2007.  It was a very dark day being overcast and showers all day.

The Swan at Lavenham Suffolk

The Swan at Lavenham is a 15th Century Hotel that makes popular wedding venue.  Lavenham is a beautiful historic town between Bury St. Edmonds and Sudbury.

If you are looking for a historic wedding venue The Swan makes a great venue with its original architecture visible.  It has large open fires in bare brick and impressive huge oak beams everywhere you look!

The Swan can cater for up to 80 guests making in a cosy venue for small to medium sized wedding parties.  It is also possible to book the entire Hotel including its small gardens – everything that is except for the public bar.

This venue looks lovely. Lavenham is a beautiful town. For a wedding venue closer to Ipswich I would recommend Trinity Park. Having been to weddings and receptions held there I can honestly say I have been impressed by this venue time and time again.
