Contemporary Wedding Photography scoops Bronze Award

by Pat Bloomfield on 07/03/2010

I am thrilled to  get a Bronze award for this month’s Contemporary Wedding Photography with this image taken at a recent wedding.

This month I have been careful to check the SWPP definition under each category I entered an image to ensure it correctly meets the criteria, which is:

“As with portrait contemporary, showing innovation, thinking out of the box. Unusual lighting, posing, location etc.”

Bronze Award for Contemporary Wedding Photography

This is actually a posed image designed to look like a photojournalism / reportage shot taken of the bride & groom’s first dance.

You don’t need to book your wedding photographer until the first dance with images like these.

Will you live or hate your wedding photography?

Lovely image Pat. For what it’s worth I would have awarded it at least a silver.

Thank you for your kind words Neil. The SWPP have really “raised the bar” to coin a phrase we keep hearing these days. On the positive side it does add great worth to awards achieved :-)

You should submit it to the NPS as well. (www.thenps.co.uk) I bet they would use it as their Picture Of The Month.

It’s lovely.

Thank you for your kind words Darren. I’ll have to check out the http://www.thenps.co.uk – it’s not a site I’m familiar with.
