Suffolk Wedding Photography Ufford Park Woodbridge

Bride and groom rub noses

Real wedding photography from Sarah & Ben’s wedding in 2007 at Ufford Park Hotel near Woodbridge in the heart of Suffolk.

The day started at the Farm House on Grange Farm in Ipswich where I met Ben and the boys.  We had some fun with a few shots of the Groomsmen as well as Ben with his Bestman at the front of the pub grounds with an old plough.

It was then time for me to leave the boys and meet Sarah for her Bridal preparation at the Ufford Park Hotel.

Sarah & Ben had both their wedding ceremony and reception at Ufford Park.

Ufford Park Hotel Golf Club & Spa

Ufford Park offers great facilities as a wedding reception for up to 300 guests.  As well as its hotel rooms it has air conditioned function rooms, which is great for summer weddings!  It also has a golf course, making it a great venue if you are keen on golf.

Bride & Groom portraits can be taken on a small area of the golf course.  Access is quite restricted for health & safety reasons as it remains open for public golf.  Bride & Groom photos are only allowed at the pond.  The pond has nice distant views but no shelter from the sun.

Group photos can be taken in an area behind the function rooms.  There is a large patio area that is ideal with tables and benches for guests to congregate.  It may be possible to take photos from one of the hotel guest rooms although this cannot be guaranteed.  Unfortunately there is no shelter from the sun here either, which can make photography difficult.

As with all wedding venues it is a good idea to check what facilities are available for your wedding photography indoors in the event of bad weather.

However, apart from these limitations Ufford Park provides excellent facilities and great standard of service to the wedding couple and their guests.
