Here are some real wedding photography photos from Aseil and Basman’s wedding. Their wedding ceremony was at All Saints Church Dovercourt, Harwich, Essex. Aseil and Basman are a lovely couple and it was a pleasure photographing their spring wedding.
After the ceremony we went for a detour to the beach before continuing on to the reception. It had been overcast that morning but the sun came out during the wedding ceremony. Despite being sunny the air was still cool. Aseil had a lovely fur shawl to keep her shoulders warm. At the beach we wend down to the promenade for a few bride and groom portraits.
When we first met to discuss their wedding details, they expected to use their own car as a wedding car. However the day before the wedding Basman managed to borrow an amazing vintage American car, which you can see in the slide show below.
This was only my second wedding, from May 2007, so I was quite pleased looking back through the images to see how good the quality of images were
Contemporary fashion shot of the bride and groom
I originally rejected this image of Aseil and Basman walking back up to the street from the promenade due to the strong sun as low contrast. However after attending a seminar by David Beckstead, voted in the world’s top ten wedding photographers, I changed my mind. David shoots a lot of images into the sun; these often show camera flare and are even quite washed out. If this style is good enough for David it’s good enough for me. It is the kind of image that people either love or hate. But I always try to cover a vast rage of imagery at every wedding and indeed every photo session I do.
Let me know what you think – do you love it or hate it…?
Will you love or hate your wedding photography?
