Ben with Joshua

Last Friday night I had the pleasure to photograph Joshua who is Sarah and Ben’s eight week old baby.

This is one of the great aspects of wedding photography that I haven’t written about before.

You see when my clients’ receive their wedding album that is not usually the end of our relationship.  Because they were delighted with their service and products they always leave happy and often keep in touch.

Sometimes it comes with referrals. For example, next year I have a wedding that was a referral from a wedding I photographed last year.  And that wedding was a referral from the year before.  Referrals are great.  And it’s nice to see previous clients who are now amongst the wedding guests.

And sometimes, well let me tell you the story behind this…

Last year Ben asked me if I would photograph the football team that he manages, Adhara FCIt was a chance to practice my sports photography, as it was a couple of years since photographing Motorsports, so I gladly agreed. It was a lot of fun.  And when I learned that Sarah was pregnant I offered to do some artistic photographs for them.

Sarah and Ben loved my ideas for the baby pictures.  It just remained to set the date – after the birth.  Last Friday.

When Sarah & Ben brought Joshua to my home studio everything was set ready for them.  You never know what will happen on the day but he was great; we spent at least an hour photographing him.
