Pat runs patb photography with the assistance of his wife, Imke, who helps with many of the activities that go on behind the scenes and occasionally helps out on the wedding day itself. Pat has several years experience of professional photography initially doing freelance work primarilly in Motorsports and then later with fashion & glamour in the studio, which continues with Inner Beauty Photography. It was the fashion work that led me to assist a local bridal wear company build a portfolio of their products.

Through this experience I decided to have a go at Wedding Photography in 2006 when I enrolled on an intensive wedding photography course. In 2007 I did a foundation wedding course with the BIPP, British Institute of Professional Photography and joined the SWPP and enrolled on its "Mentor Me" program. Through the weddings of 2007 I gained my Licentiate with the SWPP. This year I'll be refining my skill still further with a very high level weeks intensive wedding course in Spain in June.

I am aiming to become one of the leading photographers not just in this area but across the whole of the UK and beyond. Currently most of my commissions come from around the South East of England but I would also be happy to take commissions across the UK and beyond in the future. To this end, in 2008 I have started entering the SWPP monthly competition and have already met with considerable success being awarded both Bronze and Silver under various categories.

In addition to being a member of the SWPP and BPPA, Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers and the British Professional Photographers Associates   I am also a member of the Bureau of Freelance Photographers.

My images have been published by publications including; IPC Media, ICM Media, Icon Publications, BBC web site, Archant, BikeSport News Ltd, www.twowheelsontrack.com , Squires Kitchen Magazine Publishing (Wedding Dresses), to name but a few.

As mentioned already Imke, my wife, assists with many aspects of running PatB Photography behind the scenes. This can be simple things like making sure the room is ready to receive clients when I've been out working and ensuring we have a fresh supply of coffee and biscuits :-) However, it can go far beyond that and as the business builds her involvement will also grow. Imke will meet our clients coming in for a portrait session and do their hair and make-up. She may accompany me on occasion to assist with the wedding photography. Imke is also a German language tutor and enjoys teaching both classes and private tuition up to 'A' Level standard.
